So Romis, the Water Guardian, has had a bit of a makeover... He's no longer a giant crocodile thing, he's now a giant shark. I'm going to do another drawing of him with a human to show the scale, but I wanted to finish this one off as a quick concept piece.

Little Mermaid Complete

A friend of mine, kadianimation.blogspot.com, did a painting of Snow White using a method involving taking a disney princess colouring book page and colouring it in the style of an old fashioned painting. So after checking out some of the ones that she had looked at/been inspired by I thought it might be fun to do one of my own.
I picked Ariel and I used a painting by Boucher, François for my colour reference.
This was really fun to do since I wasn't thinking about the drawing and therefore I could totally focus on the painting.

Little Mermaid Progress

A friend of mine did a really awesome painting of Snow White and I felt totally inspire to follow! Apparently there are a bunch of people doing this, where you take a colouring book page, in this case of a Disney princess, and colour it in the style of an old master. Way cool. I chose Ariel, since she was one of the few who hadn't been picked.
It's obviously far from finished, but I thought it might be fun to show and "in progress" type pic, since I don't often do that... Yup.

Just a note... I didn't do the drawing for this, I have only done the painting! I will post the colouring book page that I used, along with image I used as my pallet once I've finished! ^_^
Cheers!
