Old Tree & Life

I had a really hard time deciding what to do with the last tree, but I'm happy with how it turned out. A four piece print will be available for this later on in the year when I get my shop back up.

This is the first set of artwork I've done in a long while where I've intentionally done things a certain way based on a what I feel it should represent.

I guess as life goes on and people get older it starts to make you think about what is in store for all of us. I feel like when we are young, everything is fresh and new/filled with the dreams of a bright tomorrow.

As we age, learn and grow our perception of the world changes. Things begin to look different. And hopefully, if you have truly lived your life to the fullest you too can paint your sky with all the colours of the rainbow and rest under a blanket of shining stars.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday the 13th! Also! Beauty and the Beast in 3D is out in theatres today! It is my absolute favourite movie and I've seen it more than enough times, but never in theatres!! Hee hee! It's gonna be good times! If I'm feeling excessively nerdy, I might bring along my little Beast plush toy... Yep.

  1. As always - great stuff!
I'm just having my set framed and will be doing a feature post on them.
With Carole Reid's work in the reception area and yours in my esthetic area I think I'm set for great artwork.

Also, given what I do, I think the subtlety of an aging tree will be a reminder that life truly does move forward - and we all should embrace it!

    Hugs, Moo-tastic
